What is Actistem Therapy?
Good Shepherd Pet Hospital has partnered with Ardent Animal Health’s regenerative cell therapy. Actistem Therapy allows your vet to isolate regenerative cells from an animal’s own fat tissue, wake them up, and re-inject them directly into damaged areas. Actistem Therapy is a safe and affordable option for pets suffering from osteoarthritis, soft tissue injuries, hip dysplasia, and more.
How Does It Work?
Actistem Therapy focuses on the repair cells of in the body. When your pet is injured or is suffering from a disease, repair cells take action and go to damaged areas to attempt and fix the problem. However, depending on the severity of the injury, or sometimes age, repair abilities may be slowed down and require a jump-start. Thus, our solution to this is to use your pet’s own repair cells isolated from fat tissue in the body and then apply them to areas where necessary.
